陈蒙青：美国北卡州，今年被哈佛录取

I’m Alicia, a rising freshman at Harvard College, here in China for the summer. I’m from Cary, North Carolina, USA. I’ve also lived for extended amounts of time in Fremont, California and Rabat, Morocco. I’m interested in learning about the Middle East/North Africa regions, and I’m considering a concentration in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, possibly as a joint with East Asian Studies. Here I’ll be talking about my high school experience, including how I went through the whole application process and, in retrospect, my takeaways from my three years in high school and my senior year abroad.

陈蒙青，出生在南京，3岁的时候随全家人移民美国，现居美国北卡州，也在加州和摩洛哥住过一段时间。她今年高中毕业，被哈佛录取。大学时期想学中东、北非文明和语言。

高中时候，她申请了一个美国政府办的奖学金项目——每年把65个美国学生送到穆斯林国家学习和支教。她远离家人，独自在摩洛哥生活了一年，住在当地一个寄宿家庭里，并上了当地的高中。

这个暑假，她回国到清华大学做了两个星期助教，并到大别山区支教一周。她目前正在山里，8月1号晚上将从大别山来南京，8月2号下午从南京飞回美国。趁其在南京短暂停留时间，我们特意邀请她给家乡的学弟学妹们做一场分享会。

她将分享她的高中经历，包括申请大学的过程和在北非生活的经历。
