This position is located in the Vendor Registration and Management Team, Procurement Management Section, Headquarters Procurement and Support Service, Procurement Division, Department of Management. The incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, Vendor Registration and Management Team (VRMT) and the overall guidance of the Chief, Procurement Management Section (PMS).
工作内容
The Associate Procurement Officer is responsible for the following duties:
•Reviews, analyzes and updates Umoja and UN Global Marketplace website regarding status of vendor registration in accordance with approved Vendor Review Committee meeting minutes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
•Conducts regular follow-up with other UN Offices in connection with cases presented at the VRC, including the Office of Internal Oversight Services, the Office of Legal Affairs and the Ethics Office. Identifies potential cases to be reviewed by the VRC and prepares the agenda for meetings, including all supporting documentation and correspondence
•Records decisions and recommendations in VRC minutes and prepares memoranda to the ASG, OCSS regarding recommendations.
•Provides administrative support to the Secretariat of the VRC, including maintaining files of VRC and related vendors in accordance with UN Procurement Manual.
•Reviews VRMT policies related to vendor due diligence and drafts scope of work for services; participates in technical evaluation of contractors’ proposals.
•Coordinates contracts of due diligence service providers.
•Participates in research on potential vendors independently and through service providers.
•Prepares correspondence with vendors regarding suspension, removal or reinstatement and maintains related “Suspended, Removed or Reinstated Vendors Report.”
•Performs other duties as assigned

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, law or a related field. A first-level degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in the specified fields with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A first-level degree and no experience will be accepted for candidates who have passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP), the United Nations National Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P).
工作经验
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management, administration or related area is required. Training on financial analysis is desirable. Experience with procurement procedures of International Governmental Organizations is desirable.
No experience is required for candidates who have passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP), the United Nations National Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P) in Administration.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
